10th ANNUAL CENTER LUNCHEON WAS THE PREPPIEST PLACE TO BE

The Center’s, 10th Annual Luncheon was held on April 26, 2011 at the River Oaks Country Club.

The luncheon was a smashing success raising over $160,000. The preppy luncheon was chaired by Candace Dickerson, Stef Levy, and Christy Rowland. Guests were decked out in preppy attire such as Lilly Pulitzer dresses, traditional argyle sweaters, and it wouldn’t be complete without the classic pastel layered polo golf shirts with collars popped!

Lisa Birnbach, author of The Official Preppy Handbook and True Prep, was this year’s featured speaker whose tongue-and-cheek retrospective of what was considered preppy 30 years ago and how it has evolved into a world of where social media dominates daily life.

Preppy’s spotted in the crowd were: David Baldwin, Ginny and Ron Nixon, Elizabeth DeLuca, Jay Levy, Tana Wood, Mindy Hildebrand, Jennifer Ducote, Paula Paine, Debra Collins, Perry Ann Reed, Craig Dickerson, Wendy Fatjo, and Julie Oliver.
