25th Annual Benefit Gala
11/03/2010 - By New York, NY

25th Annual Benefit Gala

The 25th Annual Gala took place at the New York Hilton hotel. Our distinguished guests included Vikram Pandit, CEO of Citigroup Inc. and Lyor Cohen, Chairman and CEO of Warner Music Group, both honored for their generosity and support of the charity.

They were humbled by their awards and felt fortunate to be connected with our cause.

The Gala was also a special night because of the participation of the Benefit Fund families. It was very rewarding to hear the children sing the National Anthem and watch their voices lift the room encouraging attendees to sing along in unison. Their pride for their fathers and mothers was profound and it set a meaningful tone for the evening. These children brought nearly 1,000 people together and created one voice.

More importantly, the words shared by Valerie Perry (PAPD widow), Arleen Warhola (FDNY widow), Victor Lee (EMS widower) and Marilyn Narvaez (NYPD widow) through this years video clearly underscores the importance of our work.
