9th Archival Evening presented by the Historical Society of Palm Beach County

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County honored Colonel Edward Riley Bradley, Walter S. Gubelmann, Charles A. Munn, and Eugene J. Ribakoff at the Society’s 9th Annual Archival Evening at Club Colette, Palm Beach.

The event recognizes the contributions of notable individuals whose accomplishments and influence have helped to define the history of Palm Beach. Throughout the evening guests were able to preview an exhibition of personal photographs on loan from the honoree’s families and from the extensive archives of the Historical Society. Honorary Chairmen for the intimate dinner-dance, themed “4 Fine Gentlemen of Palm Beach,” were Kate Gubelmann, Pauline Pitt, and Tom Quick. Chairmen of the evening were Melanie and Chris Hill, Carol and Tom Kirchhoff, and Sonja and Mark Stevens. Corporate Chairman was Jeff Sabean.

During a special presentation of the evening, each honored family received a beautiful Tiffany & Co award presented by the Historical Society. Tributes were given by Chairman Mark Stevens of PNC Wealth Management and Society Board Chairman Mark Elhilow. Previous honorees include actress and recording star Dame Celia Lipton Farris, architect John Volk, social photographer Slim Aarons, “The Late Great Grande Dames,” including Barton Gubelmann, Estee Lauder, Marjorie Merriweather Post, Mary Sanford, and Sue Whitmore, style icon Lilly Pulitzer, architect Maurice Fatio, fashion designer Philip Hulitar, and society family photographer Betty Kuhner. The Grand Corporate Sponsor of the Archival Evening was PNC Wealth Management, and Corporate Sponsor was Tiffany & Co. – Palm Beach. Sponsors included the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show and Mark Edward Partners.
