 Art Beyond Sight's Fashion Show Gala with the New York Institute for Special Education

Visually-impaired students from the New York Institute for Special Education modeled fashions hand-picked for them by Bloomingdale’s as part of Art Beyond Sight’s Dressing for Success Independent Living Skills program.

The event was held at Art Beyond Sight’s annual Gala Monday, April 11, 6-9pm at the Central Park Boathouse.

Leading neuroscientist Dr. Alvaro Pascual-Leone and disabled-rights lawyer Richard Bernstein were honored for their significant advancements in education and disability-rights before such guests as Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth, Louise Mirrer of the New York Historical Society, Sheldon Tannen formerly of 21 Club, Sharon Gersten Luckman of Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, longtime patron of the arts and The Museum of Arts and Design’s Chairman of the Board Barbara Tober, Magee Hickey of CBS, fashion and lifestyle expert Katlean de Monchy, and designer magnate William Rondina and a host of other distinguished executives. Additional guests included Teresa Eyring, Marc A. Scorca, Lane Harwell, Charlotte K. Frank, Anne Coates, Sarah and Gary Wolkowitz, Edgar and Nancy Aronson, Jesse Rosen, Connie Collins among others.
