AFA’s 100th Anniversary Gala

The American Federation of Arts (AFA) marked its 100th year as a pioneering
organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and appreciation of
art in this country with a black-tie gala celebration on October27, 2010, at the Metropolitan Club.

During the evening, there was a viewing of a short commemorative video
featuring artist Lorna Simpson, Metropolitan Museum of Art Director Thomas
P. Campbell, and Brooklyn Museum Director Arnold L. Lehman, among
others; a raffle drawing of a print by Maira Kalman and a drawing by
Wolfgang Laib; and dancing and cocktails. The dinner was catered by the
Metropolitan Club.

Approximately 260 guests, including artists Will Cotton, Eliott Erwitt,
Wolfgang Laib, and Donald Sultan, attended, along with Gala Co-Chairs Clare
E. McKeon, Damaris D.W. Ford, Scott A. Dahnke, and Stephanie R. La Nasa;
Honorary Chairs Serena Rattazzi and Stephanie French; Vice Chairs Jennifer
Gerstenfeld Argenti, Kyle Bass, Joanne Stroud Bilby, Elizabeth Blake,
