AIA NY Chapter/New York Foundation for Architecture 2009 Heritage Ball

On October 8, 2009, the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter and the Center for Architecture Foundation welcomed 1,000 guests to Pier 60 in Chelsea Piers in New York City for our annual Heritage Ball.

The black-tie event is the biggest annual fund raiser for the activities of the Chapter, which is the professional organization for architects in New York, the Center for Architecture, its free and open-to-the public exhibition space in Greenwich Village, and the Center for Architecture Foundation, its 501c3 affiliate. Student-built models from the CFAF’s K-12 educational programs served as centerpieces for the memorable event as we honored the design team of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the engineer Robert Silman, PE, Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, and New Orleans’s Make It Right Foundation.
