American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art Gala

On Thursday, May 13, at the Metropolitan Club, the American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art held their annual Gala honoring gallerist Dominique Lévy, Yael Borovich, and Philip Pearlstein .

Jennifer Roth, Senior V.P. of Sotheby’s conducted a live auction. Gala Chairmen were Martin and Susan Sanders, Martin is a Vice Chair on the AFTAM Board of Trustees and deeply involved in the art community; Honorary Chairmen were David and Joan Genser. David is a member of the AFTAM Board of Trustees.

The American Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (AFTAM) is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 to raise funds for the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel and to seek notable works of art for its collections.

Among the attendees: Artists Philip Pearlstein, Carl Fischer, Donald Sultan, Mark Seliger, Marylyn Dintenfass, Lili Almog, Yigal Ozeri, Natan Dvir and Susan Burnstine; Benefactors Virginia and Herbert Lust; Livia Straus co-founder of the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, Seymour Zises President and CEO of Family Management Corporation; Gallerists Andrea Meislin, Carolina Nitsch, Stephen Stux, Ken Tyburski, Elana Rubinfeld, Fred Torres, Spencer Throckmorton, Cecile Panzieri; Collectors Anita Kahn, Amalia Dayan, Adam Lindermann; Founder and CEO of Delphi Management Company Scott Black; Honorary President of the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel Edward Lee; and Tel Aviv Museum of Art Director and Chief Curator Professor Mordechai Omer.
