Battle of the Badges
09/18/2010 - By Brooklyn, NY

Battle of the Badges

On Saturday, September 18, 2010 Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) hosted the 2nd annual charity softball fundraising event in conjunction with the NYPD, NYC Department of Corrections, the Port Authority Police Department, and the FDNY.

This unique event, called Battle of the Badges, took place at MCU Park (Brooklyn Cyclones) in Coney Island. The day also included various family fun activities such as rides, clowns, face painting, and other entertainment.

The funds benefit and support OBT and its mission to help disadvantaged youth and adults recognize their own self-worth, and advance towards self-sufficiency and financial security through job training, academic reinforcement, improved life skills, job placement, and support services.
