Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC's Young Professionals Committee "Big Night Out"

Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC's Young Professionals Committee hosted its tenth annual "Big Night Out" on Saturday, February 21st at Cipriani Wall Street.

All proceeds from the black tie casino night event benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC's mentoring programs. Through the funds raised, almost 100 Big-Little mentoring matches will have the financial support they need for one year.

During the event guests enjoyed casino style games including roulette and blackjack and learned to play poker during small group classes with Poker PrimaDivas. Seasoned poker players played in a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament and guests danced to music by DJ Mode of Level V and Bungalow 8. The event's silent auction featured high-end items including a Carolina Herrera dress, trip to the Maldives, the latest TaylorMade golf clubs and personal chef experiences. Guests captured their memories at the event in the Pikabooth photo booth.

Big Night Out sponsors included Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, HEI, Intralinks, KWIAT, Latham & Watkins LLP, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Ares, ABG, Form Decor and IntraLinks.

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has provided volunteer adult mentors to
underpriveleged children in all five boroughs. Today, the organization serves over 4,000 children and their families. Each year, in addition to providing its one-to-one youth mentoring services, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC helps hundreds of other nonprofit organizations implement new youth mentoring programs in every neighborhood.

Big Night Out is the pinnacle event for the Young Professionals Committee and represents a year of planning and active commitment from committee members. The Committee consists of nearly 100 volunteers, profesionals in their twenties and thirties working in various industries, who meet montly to plan innovative fundraising events that will engage their peers to participate in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC. All proceeds from these events, along with contributions from corporate sponsors, go directly to the orgnization. More information about the event is available at www.ypcbignightout.com.
