CCE DRAWS BIG SUPPORT FOR ULTIMATE GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT

Heads were turning in Palm Beach as nearly 200 “women in black” gathered recently for the Center for Creative Education’s Ultimate Girls’ Night Out: Little Black Dress event.

Co-chairs Diane Buhler, Susie Dwinell and Colleen Orrico creatively crafted an entertaining evening of food, fun and good friends to benefit the arts programming CCE offers to area schools.
The beautiful evening started at C. Orrico, Palm Beach with signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres sponsored by Christafaros. Ladies were bidding on many amazing silent auction items before being whisked away to dinner at either Buccan or Café L’Europe in Palm Beach.
The Center for Creative Education uses the arts to improve student academic achievement in core subjects such as English, Math and Science. This multiple-intelligence, interactive learning also increases young people’s appreciation of art, music and dance. The organization, along with its 70 teaching artists, brings innovative programming to schools and after-school sites all over Palm Beach County working with under-privileged children in under-performing schools. CCE’s vision is to “reinvent education through the arts.”
“This was our first annual Ultimate Girls’ Night Out event and we had an amazing group of women come out to support such a wonderful cause,” said Dwinell. “CCE continues to serve more than 13,000 underserved Palm Beach County students annually and proceeds from events like this allow us to continue to provide arts integration to area schools.”
Sponsors for Ultimate Girls’ Night Out: Little Black Dress event included: Cartier, Christafaro’s, C. Orrico, House of Lavande, Lexus of Palm Beach and Neiman Marcus. Media sponsor was Palm Beach Illustrated.
Ultimate Girl’s Night Out event committee members included: Amy Bahl, Maria Baldwin, Joanna Ballarini, Elizabeth Belkin, Eileen Berman, Allison Bishop, Jackie Breckenridge, Diane Buhler, Celeste Cassidy, Susie Dwinell, Laura Evans, Elizabeth Fifield, Cathy Flagg, Dawn Fox, Nicole Guari, Renee Hall, Vicki Halmos, Kim Havlicek, Anne Kanjian, Deborah Koepper, Karyn Lamb, Margie Larkin, Hilary Matchett, Kate McCoy, Jessica McGruder, Pam Miller, Sarah Miller, Nicole Munder, Virginia Oatley, Meg O'Grady, Colleen Orrico, Polly Onet, Jillian Percella, Diana Perry, Allison Reckson, Vanessa Rooks, Missy Savage, Ashley Sharpe, Tracy Smith, Alex Snyder, Linda Soper, Jessica Suroveck, Rena Ueltschi, Katherine Ward and Maura Ziska.
