Chabad's Children of Chernobyl's Fourth Annual Purim Benefit Bash

Chabad's Children of Chernobyl's Fourth Annual Purim Benefit Bash

Chabad's Children of Chernobyl (CCOC) hosted its Fourth Annual Purim Benefit Bash on Thursday, March 17th at Amnesia NYC.

The event was a tremendous success, and enough funds were raised to rescue a child from the contaminated Chernobyl region.

April 26, 2011 will mark 25 years since the world’s worst nuclear disaster—the nuclear reactor explosion at Chernobyl. As you read in the daily press, now more than ever it is crucial that these children be permanently evacuated from the devastated region in order to survive and live healthy, happy lives.

CCOC is the only organization in the world dedicated to doing this, and CCOC also treats these sick children who continue to suffer from many cancers, heart maladies and debilitating birth defects as a result of their exposure to the toxic levels of radiation. To date, CCOC has saved 2,730 children on 92 rescue missions. Visit www.ccoc.net for more information and to help save a child's life!
