CHC Awards Dinner and Casino Night 2011
05/12/2011 - By Alameda, CA

On Thursday, May 12th Covenant House California hosted its annual Awards Dinner & Casino Night honoring Dick Schulze and Comcast for their outstanding contributions to our youth and programs.

Our most anticipated event of the year, we had 200 guests for a fun and inspirational evening that included an open bar, fabulous dinner, live auction, casino games, dancing, and music by award-winning Jazz Guitarist Terrence Brewer as well as DJ Buddy Holly.

Covenant House California is the only free, year-round shelter in Alameda County serving homeless youth, ages 18-24, with comprehensive support services. We provide residents a safe place to live, medical and mental health care, education and employment services, and resources for permanent housing placement. CHC's outreach workers also go out to youth living on the streets, in abandoned buildings, under bridges and elsewhere, bringing them food, water, blankets, hygiene kits, social service information and personal encouragement.
