"Cocktails with a Cause" to benefit St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children

Members of the Financial Services Industry united to support patients at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, one of the region’s premier providers of post-acute pediatric care for children and families with special needs.

Committee members Chris Savino, Rebecca Aslin, Anthony Coniglio, Tom Jarck and William Sinclair, all leaders in the financial industry, spearheaded “Cocktails with a Cause,” an open bar and networking event held Wednesday, June 22nd at the Empire Hotel Rooftop in New York City to benefit St. Mary’s Kids, some of the region’s most seriously ill and injured children battling complex medical and life-limiting conditions.

Each of the committee members have been impacted by St. Mary’s in some unique way. Whether they were touched by a St. Mary’s child or benefited from St. Mary’s renowned programs and services, each is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to help improve the health and quality of life for children with special needs and their families.

The sold out event included an open bar, networking with financial related industry members, and a live auction.

Auction prizes included dinner for 12 guests in your home hosted by renowned chef Dino Gatto from the exclusive Rao’s Restaurant of Harlem, NYC featuring the famed “Tommy the Waiter,” who will attend to tell stories of Rao’s celebrity clientele, or Dinner for 6 guests with New York Ranger Sean Avery at the trendy Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs in NYC owned by Rangers Sean Avery and Henrik Lundqvist.

About St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children
Today one in five children has a special healthcare need. St. Mary’s, a non-sectarian organization, provides intensive rehabilitation, specialized care, and education to 4,000 children each day in the New York Metropolitan region and beyond through our family-centered inpatient, home care, and community programs. A pediatric healthcare innovator, St. Mary’s created the nation’s first pediatric palliative care program, NY State’s first long-term home healthcare program for children, NYC’s first certified pediatric traumatic brain injury program, and one of only nine interdisciplinary pediatric feeding disorder programs in the nation.
U.S. News and World Report recently ranked St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children as one of New York’s top facilities for skilled nursing in their 2011 Best Nursing Home review, receiving a perfect 15-star rating. For more information, visit www.stmaryskids.org.
