Historical Society of Palm Beach County - Party at Patrick Park's Home

Park graciously opened his entire home for the evening’s festivities, which delighted those who previewed two beautiful original paintings by Dame Celia Lipton Farris adorning the upstairs walls.

The magnificent home of Patrick Park was overshadowed only by the stunning Dame Celia Lipton Farris Saturday evening as more than 150 guests enjoyed a lavish cocktail celebration in anticipation of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County’s 8th Annual Archival Evening. The event this year, Dame Celia Lipton Farris “An Incredible Life,” highlights the extraordinary Dame Celia and her outstanding achievements, as well as her generosity in the Palm Beach philanthropic community. Patrick Park, Diana Ecclestone, Tom Quick and Mark Stevens are the Chairmen of this year’s Archival Evening, which also includes Kathy Bleznak as Honorary Chair, and Jeff Bateman of Tiffany & Company as Corporate Chair.

Guests arriving at the Bear’s Club residence, by Phoenix Architecture, Santayana Designs and decorated by Susan Gale Interior Designs, were serenaded by Patrick Park’s signature welcoming mariachi band, and entertained throughout the home by opera singer Francesco Valpa and Palm Beach pianists David Crohan and Paul Davis. The Ole’ Ole’ Argentinean Tango Group and dancers inspired guests around the pool to kick up their heels and tango under the stars. Hors d’oeuvres prepared by Christafaro’s Catering included potato cornucopias filled with salmon tartar and tobiko caviar, mini "sliders all the way," ginger shallot shrimp, an Italian bistro station and a carving station of whole roasted tenderloin of beef, smoked salmon and an assortment of mini Cuban sandwiches.

Park graciously opened his entire home for the evening’s festivities, which delighted those who previewed two beautiful original paintings by Dame Celia Lipton Farris adorning the upstairs walls. The Historical Society’s annual Archival Evening honors the contributions of notable individuals whose accomplishments and influence have helped to define the history of Palm Beach.
