Howl-o-ween All Breed Dog Walk and Costume Contest

Dog Rescue Fundraiser a Howling Success!

The German Shepherd Resource & Rescue Center (GSRRC) held its inaugural fundraiser at Endicott Park in Danvers on Saturday, October 23. Howl-o-ween, an all breed dog walk and costume contest, was a huge hit with local pet owners and their pooches! Dogs of all shapes and sizes participated in the costume parade and contest. The costume contest for small dogs featured bumblebees and princesses, devils and angels, a cow and a skunk. The large dog contest showcased dragons, sports fans, skeletons and pirates. Lucky pups were awarded prizes of treats, toys and more!

The crowd mingled among 24 exhibitors offering dog-related services and products. Adventurous owners and their pups stopped by Madame Bow Wow for a Palm and Paw reading or had an enlightening visit with Catharine, the Animal Communicator. A demonstration featuring Essex County Sheriff’s K9 officers, Gianni and Blitz was a thrilling part of the day’s activities.
