Human Intonation Benefit
07/28/2010 - By New York, NY

Human Intonation Benefit

On July 28th, HUMAN INTONATION held it's “The NEW Purpose of Fashion: HUMAN INTONATION” benefit at The Loft of Kwane Spinks in NYC.

It was an exciting evening of fierce fashion, live music, and philanthropy. From the opening reception where guests had a chance to learn more about the social & human rights issues we support, to the dramatic reveal of our new collection of men and women’s tees, tank tops, and dresses using new designs to call attention to youth & minority HIV/AIDS prevention, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, education for children in Darfur, and Haiti’s recovery, the entire evening was more than we could have dreamed of.

Hosted by international recording artist J-Harris, HUMAN INTONATION’s fashion show was braced by thought provoking video imagery bearing the question “Who is the face of HIV/AIDS?”, and a program where Founder Verneda White linked the tie between the initial reason she started HUMAN INTONATION following her family’s experience in the aftermath Hurricane Katrina, to her on-going passion for raising awareness around HIV prevention following the loss of her very close first cousin. The life of James Wesley White, Jr. inspires HUMAN INTONATION’s 2010 campaign around HIV and Women of Colour featuring the HUMAN INTONATION presents…A Women 2 Women HIV Roundtable Discussion Series.
