Leigh and Leslie Keno

Leigh Keno, the high energy antiques expert, author, television host, and president of Keno Auctions, opened the doors to his Neoclassical Upper East Side townhouse, for a private preview of antique and contemporary jewelry.

This was a first for Keno Auction house. Also on display were Maritime paintings from a prominent Connecticut collector, American furniture and folk art, and rare silver from the Estate of Hans Christensen, the head of Georg Jensen’s prototype department – all part of his upcoming Fall sale on September 24 in Stamford, Connecticut at the Marriott Hotel www.kenoauctions.com.

With his movie-star looks, Leigh Keno has dusted off the notion that antiques are dull. His exuberance and passion for his field is contagious and if you had the opportunity to watch, BURIED TREASURE, his new primetime reality show, which recently aired on FOX, you could see him and his twin brother Leslie, in action. Leigh has been working in the business for over 30 years in and in the process has built some of the best private and institutional collection of Americana in the world, as well as setting world record prices at auction.

Among those who stopped by to take a sneak peak were Marjorie McGraw, Mrs. John Alger, Pamela Harris, Nancy Ross, Catherine Skibitcky, Wendy Moonan, Gail Karr, Marilyn White, Nancy Ross, Leslie and Emily Keno, Nancy Swiezy, Brook Mason, and Ed Lewand, Sarah DeSanctis, and Betsy Murphy.
