Open Your Heart to Art Benefit

On Tuesday, October 12, 2010 close to 100 supporters of arts and cultural programming for children came out to Variety the Children's Charity fundraiser: the Open Your Heart to Art Benefit held at the Bowery Wine Company in New York City.

Hosted by Young Variety, the jr. board of the organization, the event brought in artwork from students of the ICP program at The Point, one of Variety's grantees.

The evening was a huge success for both organizations and close to ten photographs were taken home by happy bidders. Photographs on display at the event, were products of child photographers ranging from 11-18 years old. A silent auction allowed interested art collectors to bid on the pictures with 50% of the proceeds benefitting the child photographer and 50% benefitting the Point and their programming.
