Resolve 2010
11/10/2010 - By New York, NY

The Resolution Project closed out 2010 with a bang at Resolve 2010, its first fundraiser and its public launch.

With about 150 attendees supporting Resolution at the Greene Space in SoHo, guests enjoyed the open bar by Absolut & wineUdesign, along with light fare by Berthsy Ayide of The Kitchen Sink (a finalist on The Food Network's Chopped). Over the course of the evening, guests bid on silent and live auction items, including a Knicks Game with several supermodels, tickets to fashion shows, a Dream Car Tour, a J. Mendel necklace, tables with bottle service at The Eldridge and 1Oak, Brooks Brothers apparel, Jack Spade bags, Yankees tickets, and much, much more.

Guests also had the opportunity to interact with The Resolution Project's Fellows. Along with installations outlining the social enterprises the six teams of fellows have launched, two fellows made special appearances. Shaan Gandhi, who launched Health2Home, a text messaging service providing important medical information to expecting mothers in Lira province in Uganda, was available via Skype for every guest that picked up the headset to chat about the project. Betsy Graves, who brought micro-drip irrigation to Nyanza province in Kenya, appeared more traditionally and in-person to share her experience as a Resolution Fellow to the audience.

The event was a tremendous success thanks to our very generous donors, sponsors and all those who attended that evening. We are looking forward to Resolve 2011!
