The VH1 Save The Music Foundation presents Tracey Delio's "Rock & Read"

Tracey Delio is a speech-language pathologist and children's book author who envisioned an afternoon for kids and the community to come together over music to support arts education.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation helped make that happen on January 29th, when musicians Ray Greiche, Ignacio, and Josh Charles took to their instruments at The Dolphin Bookshop in Port Washington, NY.

Tracey read from The Secret Adventures of Louie V, her children's book series about a mischievous Siamese cat in between engaging and exciting musical performances-- many of which had the kids on their feet! Ray Greiche invited his son to the stage with him to close his set, and Ignacio included some Beatles tunes perfect for parents and children alike. Singer-songwriter and pianist Josh Charles closed out the afternoon by encouraging the young audience to pick up an instrument and ask Mom and Dad for lessons, reminding everyone of music's importance in development, learning, and culture. Snacks and gifts were provided by Baked to Perfection, Smiles on Chocolate, and Tracey Delio.

More information on Tracey's book and her charitable initiatives can be found on www.LouieVAdventures.com.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education. For more information, http://www.vh1savethemusic.com/
