Touch Foundation's Cocktails on the Terrace.
07/20/2009 - By Hudson Terrace

Touch Foundation's Cocktails on the Terrace.

On July 20, more than 550 young New Yorkers opened their hearts and pocketbooks to help save lives in Tanzania at the Touch Foundation's summer bash, Cocktails on the Terrace.

Guests sipped Patron's pineapple, pomegranate and grapefruit cocktails while dancing to the beats of DJ Josh Link on Hudson Terrace's stunning rooftop garden lounge. The evening included a photo installation booth by Mark Vans Studio that projected guests’ photos onto the adjacent building.

Proceeds from Cocktails on the Terrace are helping to support the Touch Foundation’s training of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals in Tanzania. The Touch Foundation is dedicated to addressing the shortage of health workers in this East African country, where there is only one doctor for every 30,000 people. We are creating a model for working with local leaders to scale up the number of health professionals and strengthen the health care system so that we can inform and inspire similar efforts throughout the developing world.
