Tropics in February

Tropics in February, hosted by the Conservation Council, the Wildlife Conservation Society's (WCS's) Junior Committee, was held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 in the Tropics Rain Forest exhibit at the Central Park Zoo.

More than 150 young adults escaped the winter to enjoy fun hors d'oeuvres, tropical cocktails, the new black and white ruffed lemurs and hands-on interactions with a Ball Python. Tropics in February is the Conservation Council's annual event to raise funds for WCS and to celebrate the important role of WCS as a worldwide conservation organization, an urban oasis, source of science education, and caretaker of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks.

Caterer: Great Performances
Drink Sponsors: Tommy Bahama Rum, 360 Eco Luxury Vodka, Checker Blonde Ale from Chelsea Breweing Company
