Women's Committee Fall Luncheon
10/18/2010 - By New York, NY

Women's Committee Fall Luncheon

The Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy hosted their Fall Luncheon on Monday, October 18 at the Mandarin Oriental.

Held annually, the Luncheon raises funds for ongoing reconstruction, renovation and up-keep of Central Park. The Women’s Committee, now in its 29th year, is a powerful force in New York’s philanthropic world, last year raising $6.5 million, nearly 20 percent of the Park’s annual operating budget.

Chaired by Eleanora Kennedy with the help of co-chairmen Elyse Newhouse and Jennifer Rich, the event was a terrific success. Guests were welcomed by Women’s Committee President, Gillian Miniter followed by an informative and entertaining interview of Pamela Fiori, Editor at Large of Town & Country Magazine.

The Luncheon was sponsored by Corum Swiss Timepieces who generously donated an 18kt red gold Miss Golden Bridge watch. Guests were given keys, one of which unlocks a case at Tourneau TimeMachine containing the prize watch. Corum will also make a donation towards planting tulips and daffodil bulbs in Central Park for every key that is redeemed at Tourneau through the end of October.
